I recently had the opportunity to photograph an amazing custom home build for Sweeney Design Build. I spent the day in Hinesburg, VT hanging out amongst the horses and the owner's greyhound taking in the view of Camel's Hump.
The exterior is encased with pine siding and is mimicked throughout the interior. The open kitchen and warm glow of pine makes the stark rooms feel cozy, while the wood fireplace warms the space during the cold winter months. Sweeney Design Build worked with the owner's original design and built this home with incredible efficiency. 18 inch thick insulated walls, solar power, radiant floor heating, and tight windows keep the home at ideal temperatures year-round. The attention to detail from custom light switches to a rustic bathroom made out of roofing sheet metal ties the rooms together in a rustic yet modern design.
Here are some of the images from that day.
