As the winter seemed to be receding in early February due to warm weather and rain, March brought on 50+ inches of snow in a matter of days. With this new blanket of snow, our Vermont winter was back in full effect and the timing couldn't have been more perfect for an on-snow photoshoot.
Just days after this huge snowstorm, Turtle Fur was prepped and ready for what seemed to be our last chance to pull off a winter photoshoot. The day of the shoot brought bluebird skies and moderate temps. leading to a fantastic day of skiing/snowboarding, fat-biking, snowshoeing, and skinning. The location chosen was Bolton Valley Ski Resort in Richmond, Vermont for their easy access for downhill skiing and snowboarding, as well as their network of fat-biking and nordic trails.
With a packed day of photographing multiple sports, keeping organized and knowing the locations ahead of time played a huge role in pulling off all of Turtle Fur's imagery in 1 day. The models bounced seamlessly between the different sports and kept their energy high, making it an incredible day on the mountain.
Here are some of the images that came from this shoot.
